Abstract

Localized, market-oriented school operation represents an important development direction for international Chinese language education. However, existing scholarship has paid insufficient attention to localized marketbased models and concrete cases of Chinese language education. To address this gap, this report takes Nigeria, a major African country, as the target context and selects Hongru Academy, a Chinese language education institution founded by Chinese expatriates in Nigeria, as a case study. By analyzing its localized market-oriented practices, the report examines the Academy’s operational conditions and its specific approaches to student recruitment and institutional management, identifies the challenges it faces in the process of localized operation, and proposes corresponding countermeasures and policy recommendations. The study aims to provide reference and insights for the localized, market-oriented development of international Chinese language education.
